EU Interest Taxation
The EU Directive on the taxation of savings income (2003/48/EU) came into force on 1 July 2005. It regulates the taxation of interest payments made across borders to EU residents.
Since end of November 2004, SIX Financial Information's Valordata Feed (VDF) has been supplying an expanded range of data for the taxation of savings income according to the EU Directive issued in June 2003. SIX Financial Information provides the data needed by the banks to implement the new tax regulations.
