SIX Financial Information UK listed in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2013
London, United Kingdom – SIX Financial Information UK Ltd is pleased to announce that it has been listed in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2013. The company also came second place in a special award for ‘innovation in employee engagement’ and achieved a two star ‘outstanding’ recognition through the Best Companies accreditation process.
SIX Financial Information UK has been listed in the 2013 “100 Best Small Companies to Work For”, a survey carried out by The Sunday Times, one of Britain’s leading newspapers and Best Companies Ltd, a British research company. The award, which is based on a comprehensive audit and in large part voted for by a company’s own staff, is the first for SIX and a significant milestone in the development of the organization.
Martin Cole, Managing Director of SIX Financial Information UK says, “We are delighted to have achieved a listing in the 100 Best Small Companies category as well as being recognized for ‘innovation in employee engagement’. Such prestigious awards strengthen our market position not only as the vendor of choice, but also as the employer of choice.”
Each year Best Companies and The Sunday Times celebrate the best small, mid-size and big workplaces in the United Kingdom. The criteria for a company to be included in the respective list is based on employee satisfaction in a number of areas, which are, amongst others, work-life balance, career development, and leadership of the organization. The results enable Best Companies to compile lists of the top 100 companies in each size category which The Sunday Times publish annually. The Best Companies accreditation process acknowledges excellence in the workplace. In 2013, 896 organizations applied to achieve ‘star status’ of which only half were accredited. Accreditation is a focus on workplace engagement as an integral component of an organization’s success and growth.
The Sunday Times Best Companies List is highly regarded by business leaders around the world. Companies that achieve a ranking on the list are also highly sought after by university graduates entering the market who are looking to work for an organization that puts people first on their agenda. Each year thousands of companies apply to be listed, and SIX Financial Information achieved 85th place.
