Ticker AG, the ancestor of SIX Financial Information, is founded by a consortium of Swiss banks.
The first stock exchange television service ("Börsenfernsehen") is introduced in Switzerland. Ticker AG becomes Telekurs.
Investdata, the first financial information display, is launched in Switzerland.
Telekurs expands internationally. The first satellite office is opened in Germany, followed by offices in Amsterdam, Luxembourg and New York in 1987.
Telekurs strategically refocuses from being support-oriented towards banks, into a profit-oriented company with competitive drive and pricing policy.
Telekurs changes to a holding structure becoming Telekurs Group. Product offering is broadened. The financial information business is renamed to Telekurs Financial.
Telekurs, SWX Swiss Exchange and SIS SegaInterSettle AG merge. SIX Group is born. Short before the merger, Telekurs Financial takes over the financial information business of the French Fininfo Group. After the merger, Telekurs Financial becomes SIX Telekurs, the Financial Information division of SIX Group.
SIX Telekurs is rebranded to SIX Financial Information.
