SIX Financial Information corporate actions data leads at industry awards
SIX Financial Information has won two industry awards for its corporate actions data at the Systems in the City Awards in London and the Waters Rankings Awards in New York. The industry awards were presented on 13 and 20 July 2017, respectively and cement the data vendor’s reputation as an industry leader for quality corporate actions data.
The Systems in the City Awards are designed to reward the leading service and system suppliers to the regulated financial community. SIX was awarded Best Corporate Actions Data Service by a panel of judges, who aim to reflect market sentiment when choosing winners. Depth and breadth of global coverage, data consistency and ease of delivery and integration are among the criteria likely to be considered.
SIX also collected the award for Best Corporate Actions Solution Provider at the Waters Rankings. Prizes are decided exclusively by a survey of end-users from across capital markets and are considered a reflection of how financial technology professionals view their peers in terms of overall quality of service.
In recent years SIX Financial Information has used its expertise in reference data to help financial institutions respond to regulations, including those where corporate actions are the trigger for compliance tasks. This has allowed the company to launch new services that help firms meet IRS 871(m), CRS/AEoI and global sanctions rules.
The two new awards follow shortly after SIX picked up the prize for Best Corporate Actions Data at the Inside Reference Data Awards in May, for the eighth consecutive year as well as Most Innovative Regulatory Solution for its global sanctions service. This fresh wave of industry recognition enhances SIX’s reputation as a high-quality provider of accurate and consistent data.
“We are very pleased to have been recognized for the quality of our corporate actions for the third time in 2017. We continually invest in our products to improve the accuracy and consistency of our data even further. Our customers can rely on our market-leading corporate actions to base critical business decisions on”, said Roy Kirby, Head Product Propositions, SIX Financial Information.
